Dusk Network is the Privacy Blockchain for Financial Applications. A new standard for compliance, control and collaboration. Their mission is to enable any size enterprise to collaborate at scale, meet compliance requirements and ensure that personal and transaction data remains confidential. Companies use the Dusk Network blockchain to issue tokens, trade and collaborate via smart contracts.

You need to stake 100.000 DUSK in order to become eligible for Block Generator staking. Currently, Block Generator staking is done via Ethereum. An ERC-20 address is needed to enter into the pre-staking contract, which can be done via the Staking Dashboard on staking.dusk.network using MetaMask.

Staking DUSK is very safe. All smart contracts are audited and the staking transaction is safely handled by MetaMask. The investor keeps control over his private keys while earning his or her daily rewards, and stakes and its related rewards can only be returned to the originator address.

The individual daily staking rewards are solely dependent on the amount of Block Generators in the staking contract. Present-day, there is a hard cap on 300 Block Generators and an annualized reward pool of 3.000.000 (3M) DUSK.

Dusk Network is an open source project and allows anyone to contribute.

Its founders are technology experts Emanuele Francioni and Fulvio Venturelli, and business executives Jelle Pol, Pascal Putman and Mels Dees. Since 2018 the team has continuously been expanding with blockchain experts, and cryptographers such as Dmitry Khovratovich, the inventor of Zcash’s hashing algorithm and the Poseidon hashing algorithm.

Dusk Network is secured via a novel Proof-of-Stake-based protocol called Segregated Byzantine Agreement (SBA). SBA defines two consensus participant roles:

• Block Generators, responsible for forging and propagation of candidate blocks.
• Provisioners, responsible for candidate block validation.

On mainnet, the Dusk Network blockchain will have a token emission schedule that subsidizes the nodes that secure the network. Over time, the block reward subsidy will decrease as the transactions fees become sufficient to cover the cost of securing the protocol. The future mainnet reward schedule is dependent on the amount of participants and block times, and will be made available later when Dusk Network releases their Economic Paper.
