How to stake MANTRA before mainnet?

To earn a yield on your OM before the MANTRA Chain mainnet launches, you can either run your own validator for the Hongbai Incentivized Testnet or delegate your tokens on alternative networks. You are now able to earn up to a 1.35x multiplier on your staked OM until mainnet launches.

We recommend using a Ledger Hardware Wallet to keep full control over your funds. To delegate your tokens, you should ensure you have your OM tokens on a supported wallet, e.g. MetaMask, and follow the steps below:

Step 1: Navigate to the MANTRA Staking Platform.

Step 2: Complete Sign-Up and KYC. Sign in if you are already registered.

Step 3: Open the Staking section, choose a network, and connect your wallet to the selected network.

Step 4: Enter the amount of OM tokens you want to stake.

Step 5: Finalize and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

How are the OM staking rewards generated?

Upon the mainnet launch, new OM tokens will be issued to meet the operational requirements. Among these tokens, a specific allocation named "OM Upgrade" is reserved exclusively for this purpose. Further details on the new tokenomics can be found in the PROPOSAL document and a related ARTICLE.

Dedicated staking rewards allocation will distribute block rewards to the validators securing the MANTRA Chain. These tokens are newly issued on a regular basis.‍

How can I earn the maximum 1.35x multiplier?

You can earn the maximum allocation by staking in eligible MANTRA staking pools. The MANTRA team will conduct regular snapshots to accurately monitor each delegator's stake in these pools. The final allocation will depend on the amount of OM staked and the duration of the stake.

What is the OM token?

OM is the native cryptocurrency within the MANTRA Chain ecosystem, utilized for transactions, staking, and engaging in governance activities.

Membership: OM tokens serve as the gateway for investors to join the OM community and participate actively in MANTRA DAO.

Voting Rights: Holders of OM tokens have the privilege to vote on governance polls and proposals, allowing them to influence strategic decisions and the future direction of the platform.

What is OM tokenomics?

The initial total supply was set to 888,888,888 OM. However, a recent proposal involves minting and distributing new OM tokens to transition from a dApp token to a native-chain coin, aimed at supporting a thriving ecosystem and capturing value across various sectors, with potential adjustments based on exchange requirements or regulatory feedback. The new maximum supply, according to the proposal, will be set at 1,777,777,777 OM.
